PreNeo Press launched a new Meaning Maker edition: Higher Education Edition at the annual Southern Graphics Council Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The conference was held in conjunction with a rich and expansive city-wide celebration of print art phenomena, the triennial Philagrafika.

While touring historical Philly, Meaning Maker American Citizenship Edition was inserted into all of The Great American Citizenship Quiz books in the gift shop of the Independence Visitors’ Center. This amazing information center is run by the National Parks Service. This public service action is also known as shopdropping.

mm_logo_smMeaning Maker Academic Conference Edition is published in Visual Communication Quarterly. This special edition of Visual Communication Quarterly is focused on Analog Interactivity and is guest edited by xtine. Volume 16, Number 3, July – September 2009.

Family Gathering Edition is included in the Minnesota Center for the Book Arts democratic assemblage project None of the Above. More at: Minnesota Center for the Book Arts.

Periodic Personal Evaluation Edition will be included in FLAT Journal, an annually released, journal-shaped, mobile art gallery comprised of original, editioned works.

PreNeo Press and Hunger Button Books are delighted to participate in the 8th Annual Book Arts Jam, Saturday, October 17, at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California.

Saturday, Oct. 17, 10am – 4pm

We will have books, prints, Meaning Makers, and democratic multiples for your visual and intellectual amusement. Additionally, Nanette will be writing poems on the spot at Spontaneous Word Combustion, a BABA fundraising collaboration with Robert Perry and members of Bay Area Book Artists.

Julia Bradshaw Residency

In December, Julia Bradshaw was our PreNeo Weekend Residency in the Print Studio artist.

Julia’s project, On Photographing Breasts, is delightfully poignant, smart and fun. The project consists of three folios with title band and includes screenprinting with tipped in pigment printed photos.
